Together, these works reflect the Museum’s curatorial vision, which explores, through artistic practice questions of contemporary Israeli identity as shaped by an immigrant society rooted in the Mediterranean. The generation of artists represented here was the first to articulate a rich array of narratives and perspectives on place and belonging

while engaging with the legacy of migration from which previous generations sought to break free
